ARENA now live!!

hey everyone! our latest album 'ARENA' is officially live, and shipping from Metropolis Rec. (US) and Dependent Rec. (EU)!!

da5id and i are both extremely pleased with the album, and are looking forward to our upcoming tour to support the release! we hope that you'll enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it.

Informatik Tour: The Good, The Bad, The Only Vaguely Unattractive...

alright, so here is the almighty update i've been going on and on about...

our long awaited US tour has been postponed until the end of october. our initial plan was to go out and cover the entire US during september. due to circumstances beyond our control, that plan no longer works for us. so we're in the process of re-booking a new tour that will cover the US from florida to chicago. we'll reschedule the west coast for 2010. sorry to everyone, but we are still going to try and play as many cities as we possibly can!

the awesome news is that our US tour will be immediately preceding our first European tour supporting MESH!!! (i look forward to seeing whether or not i can out-emo their singer)

Come Together - Video & Single!!

alright everyone, the video and brand new single for 'Come Together' are now online!! the single is available via itunes, amazon, emusic, etc; 5 tracks including an exclusive mix of 'Come Together', plus two guaranteed club smashes!! The single also includes the legendary 'Bottom Feeder', which has been an encore track featured in our live shows over the past 5 years.

this is the first 'official' Informatik video since the promo film 'At Your Command' was made back in 1995. here it is, for your viewing pleasure...(ps, for some awesome reason, i can't get the HD version to format correctly here. you can always go here to see it properly)

video stuff and tour

still going through all the tour preparations...lots of details i won't bother you with. but things are going very well so far. still firming up some cities (ahem), and lining up the last dates. i promise to post the dates once i have things solidly booked. we have plenty of time, as the tour doesn't start until september...

i mentioned a few posts ago that we had shot a video for the new Informatik single 'Come Together', which will be viewable on tuesday. the single, which is digital only, will also be available on tuesday via itunes, and all other relevant music sites. the video and the single are pretty damn awesome, i have to say.

here's a few production stills from the shoot to hold you over until then. the video was shot on location at Faultline Studios, SF, in the giant live tracking room. enjoy!

tour stuff (update)

so, we've decided to do this tour alone...it was getting too complicated to try and work out bringing a support act. the contracts and riders are ready, and we'll be contacting promoters immediately.

any promoters that are interested in talking to us, and you haven't heard from us by july 10th, you should contact us directly at "booking at nymphomatik dot com". if you're in a band that has gotten in touch with us, please contact your local promoter directly...the selection of opening bands is now in their hands.

the tour is going to be fucking awesome, and we can't wait to see each and every one of you!!

touring stuff

hey everyone, we are in the initial planning stages of a fall Informatik tour. the first date will be september 10th, starting here in san francisco. the plan is to go out for three weeks, and do as many US cities as we can. the tour will be ending no later than October 4th.

we are looking for a support act that we can take with us as an opening act. genre is not that important. we're looking for someone that makes interesting music, has strong performance skills, and conducts themselves in a professional manner.

come together

the new single is more or less wrapped up, we're doing the final mix of the last track while i'm typing this. damn, this shit is hot! the new single, which i mentioned before, is 'Come Together' which is the lead track on Arena. this one is very definitely aimed at the dancefloor, so for all of you who were waiting for us to do more stuff like Nymphomatik, this one is definitely for you! should be mastered by the weekend, and off to metropolis early next week!

we're also wrapping up some of the ancillary shitwork for metropolis, stuff like new bio's for the website, and text for the distributors. yeah, real rock star stuff, don't be jealous!

on top of that, we're starting to plan out our first music video, which will also be for the new single. not entirely sure what we're gonna do yet, but we have some definite plans in the works. i'm really looking forward to shooting this! i'm hoping that it'll be ready for the album release date in august...so, hopefully editing won't take an eternity. those kind of things can really drag out if you're not careful.

also, we just want to say thanks to everyone for downloading the remix contest album! we've had over 1500 downloads so far, not bad for a legitimate free download (i'm sure if it was on some pirate torrent site, we'd have double that or more, but we're hosting it ourselves)!! hope you're all enjoying it!
